Colour Theory is a Glasgow-based platform and creative collective that champions and celebrates the work of BPOC (Black and People of Colour) creatives in Scotland. Through events, workshops, and curated showcases, we hope to create a space for underrepresented voices in the design and arts community.

We’re a small team of three, bringing together diverse skills across design, photography, and cultural strategy. I launched the initiative after noticing the lack of BPOC representation in Scotland’s creative scene. I’m joined by Rachel Tsang and Kaj Alexander. Together, we’re creating space for underrepresented creatives to connect, be seen, and thrive.

I also lead the branding and visual direction for Colour Theory, shaping everything from the identity and event design to our digital presence. My focus is on creating visuals that feel bold, inclusive, and inviting, a reflection of the diverse voices and stories we aim to celebrate. Each detail, from posters to social media, is designed to spark connection and make our community feel seen.

I’m currently a mentee with the Collective Community Circle, a Glasgow City Council–supported mentorship programme for emerging entrepreneurs. Through this, I’m receiving tailored guidance, resources, and networks to grow Colour Theory into a sustainable platform. The mentorship has been a valuable space to refine our vision, strengthen partnerships, and explore new ways of supporting BPOC creatives in Scotland.
